Our Story

Ensuring your event is nothing short of exceptional.

At Good Highland Food, our story is rooted in a deep love for the Highlands and a commitment to celebrating its rich culinary heritage.

Winners

In 2023, we were proud to be voted Highlands Food and Drink Ambassadors, an honor that recognises our dedication to supporting and promoting local suppliers and sustainable food practices. We believe in the power of food to bring communities together and to tell the unique stories of our region.

Yvonne

Beyond our work in food and hospitality, we are passionate Highlanders committed to making a positive impact. As co-founders of the Highlands Community Interest Company (CIC), Yvonne chairs the organisation, which is dedicated to driving sustainable leadership and fostering community wellbeing across the Highlands. Our approach to business is guided by a greater purpose — to benefit our communities, protect the environment, and support the people who call this remarkable region home.

Mike

Mike’s journey in the hospitality industry spans nearly fifty years, much of it spent immersed in the Highlands’ vibrant food scene. Mike is passionate about great local food and likes nothing better than telling the great stories of our local producers and providing a great wine pairing!

Together, we are dedicated to creating experiences and offerings that reflect our love for the Highlands, its people, and its future.

Sustainability

Good Highland Food is Highland catering with sustainability at its heart. We specialise in high-profile, luxury weddings and events, delivering refined, beautifully crafted food with the calm professionalism that comes from long experience. Behind every menu is a skilled team of chefs and front-of-house staff led by Mike and Yvonne Crook — a husband-and-wife partnership with decades of hospitality in the Highlands, trusted for occasions where every detail matters.

Our cooking begins close to home. We champion local produce, local people, and the stories that come with them — from estate kitchens and gardens to coastal waters and family farms. That sense of place shows up on the plate: seasonal, thoughtful, and full of flavour, designed to suit your setting and your guests.

But what we do is about more than one day. Community and environment guide every choice we make, and Good Highland Food helps drive the work of Highland Community Interest Company forward. By backing responsible suppliers, reducing waste, and celebrating what the Highlands already does brilliantly, we’re playing our part in helping this region become a leader in sustainable development — without ever compromising on quality, style, or hospitality.

If you’re planning something special and want food that feels unmistakably Highland, expertly delivered, and genuinely kind to the place we all love, we’d be delighted to be part of it.

Excellence, in partnership with local producers.
